Sub: Policy on grant of cash award by Hon,ble MR/MOS (R)/CRB and Board Members and DGs on their visit to Zonal Railway/PUs.
Instructions regarding rationalization of the procedure and quantum of group cash awards announced by MR/MOS(R)/CRB and other Board Members on their visits to Zonal Railways/Production Units etc. commensurate with the importance of the occasion were issued vide Railway Board’s Office Order No.47 of 2004(No.2004/0&M/5/l dated 09.09.2004) which was circulated on the Zonal Railways vide Board’s letter No. E(G)2003/AW1/71 dated- 13.10.2004. A clarification to the aforesaid policy and granting authority to DG(P), DG/S&T and DG/RS, Railway Board to give cash awards (Office Order No. 14 of 2018 – No.2018/O&M/2/3 dated-31.01.2018) was circulated on the Railways vide Board’s letter No. E(G)2016/AWl/156(Policy) dated 05.03.2018.
2. Ministry of Railways have now decided to include DG/RPF and DG/RHS, Railway Board, among the officers authorised to grant cash award upon their visits to Zonal Railways/Production Units etc. and instructions have been issued in this regard vide Railway Board’s Office Order No.48 of 2018 (No.2018/0&M/2/3 dated-01.05.2018) modifying the previous policy. A copy of the aforesaid Office Order No. 48 of 2018 is enclosed for information and necessary compliance.

Sub: Award Policy in Railway Board’s Office
In partial modification to Office Order No. 14 of 2018, it has now been decided to include the name of DG/RPF and DG/RHS also. Item(g) of the order may hence be modified and read as under:-
