Implementation of final option for pension

AIIPA is happy is that the process of implementation of one final option to join the Pension Scheme has been going on smoothly and with the last date for remittance is less than a week , eligible employees/retirees/spouses of deceased retirees have been fulfilling their commitments.

Though we are not fully posted with the details, it is our information that in relation to certain retirees/spouses of deceased retirees, complete details are not available either with the persons concerned or with the office,, making it difficult to arrive at either pension/family pension payable and or the refund to be made and all such people have properly exercised option within the prescribed time..

In such a situation, remittance of amount due, may not be possible before the stipulated date, as they have not been intimated the same and AIIPA is concerned that their cases should not be left out of the Pension scheme.

We request that such retirees/spouses of deceased retirees etc., should be allowed time to refund the amount till all necessary particulars are gathered and we request that, if need be, government may be approached, for the same.

AIIPA also requests LIC/you to consider cases of recruits after June, 28, 1995 but before March, 31, 2010, who had inadvertently opted out of Pension Scheme of 1995.
