Sainik School in Bihar
Alok Kumar Suman Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:-
(a) whether it is a fact that Sainik school of district Gopalganj in Bihar is running without full strength of staff/teachers;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes to approve all infrastructure facilities to the school and increase the number of seats in the school; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the total number of girl and boy students enrolled in the school?
ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE (SHRI SHRIPAD NAIK) IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE
(a) No, Sir. Sainik School Gopalganj is functioning with its full strength of authorized staff/teachers. Few vacancies are under process for appointment due to routine turnover of staff.
(b) The following posts are presently vacant due to routine turnover/promotion and recruitment process is under progress:-
(i) PGT (Physics) – due to Inter School Transfer.
(ii) PGT (Chemistry) – due to Inter School Transfer.
(iii) TGT (Computer Science) – due to Inter School Transfer.
(iv) TGT (Mathematics) – due to promotion of the teacher.
(v) General Employees (03) – Initial vacancies.
(c) The provision of infrastructure in terms of Land and building is the responsibility of the State Government i.e. Govt of Bihar.
(d) Presently the School holds total strength of 476 cadets wherein no girl cadets have been enrolled except for 16 girls, who are staff children enrolled as Day Scholars.
