Sub:- Inclusion of “Transgender” in the application forms as a separate category of gender in GDS online engagement process under Department of Posts-reg.
This is regarding- inclusion of “Transgender” in the application forms as a separate category of gender in GDS online engagement process under Department of Posts.
2. As per OM no.39028/02/2016-Estt(B) dtd 20.04.2020 issued by Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, instructions have been issued vide Directorate letter no.W-.1.7/l/2020-SPN-I dtd for inclusion of “Transgender” as a separate category of gender in the application forms in recruitment to various posts.

3. In view of above, approval of Competent Authority is hereby conveyed for inclusion of “Transgender” in the application forms as a separate category of gender in GDS online engagement process.

4. CEPT Unit at Hyderabad shall make provision of inclusion of “Transgender” in the application forms as a separate category of gender in GDS online engagement process in all the Online GDS engagement process in Cycle-II for remaining Circles and subsequent Cycles of all the Circles.
