Subject: Preventive measures to achieve ‘social distancing’ to contain the spread of Covid-19- Extension of relaxation for further period.
Reference: DoP&T letter No. 11013/9/2014- Estt (A-III) dated 20th March, 2020.
Respected Sir,
With due regards, your kind attention is invited to the letter cited under reference whereby it was decided under relaxation in CCS (Leave) Rules, 1972 to grant Commuted Leave without production of medical certificate to those officials who were above 50 years of age and had underlying conditions i.e. Diabetes, Respiratory problems, Renal diseases and other life-threatening illness, for a period upto 4th April 2020 so as to avoid unnecessary burden on the health care system.
As the situation is worsening with surge in Covid-19 cases and not different in any angle with the situation which had led to issuance of the letter cited under reference, it is required that the above relaxation should be extended for further period/ upto resumption of normalcy.
Therefore, you are requested to issue necessary directives in this regard so that employees working in various Central Government Establishments/ Departments may be relaxed in order to adopt preventive measures to achieve ‘social distancing’ to contain the spread of Covid-19 and avoid unnecessary burden on the health care system.
Thanking you.
Sincerely Yours
