AICPIN for July 2025
The All-India CPI-IW for July, 2025 increased by 1.5 point and stood at 146.5 (one hundred forty-six point five).
Expected DA from Jan 2026
The 8th Pay Commission is slated to start from January 1, 2026, which will overhaul the entire pay structure for central government employees.
The exact Dearness Allowance (DA) from January 2026 is unknown and will be set by the 8th Pay Commission, which is expected to be implemented from that date. Historically, Pay Commissions merge accumulated DA/DR into the basic salary and reset the DA cycle to zero for the new pay revision. Therefore, the DA figure from January 2026 will be a new rate based on the 8th Pay Commission recommendations, rather than a continuation of the current DA.
