In Bihar, all central and state government offices are generally closed on all public holidays. Government of Bihar released the holiday list 2024 on 5th September 2023. The list contains a total of 14 holidays including national and regional holidays. Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti and Christmas Day are some of the major holidays. In addition, there are many regional holidays such as Bhai Dooj and Durga Puja and all 2nd and 4th Saturdays would also be observed as Holidays.
