Government of India, Department of Personnel and Training has released order on 9th July 2025 for Central Government Holidays 2025 for Central Government offices and employees across the country.
India is a country with a rich culture and heritage, and is home to many festivals and holidays. India has a wide variety of holidays that are celebrated throughout the year. These holidays range from religious festivals to national holidays. Some of the most popular holidays in India include Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas, and Republic Day. Central Government Holidays List 2025: The 2025 Holiday list consists of both national and regional holidays, providing citizens from all parts of the country with the opportunity to enjoy various holidays throughout the year. The national holidays include Republic Day on January 26th, Independence Day on August 15th, and Gandhi Jayanti on October 2nd. Additionally, the Central Government has declared regional holidays such as Maha Shivratri on February 26th, Holi on March 14th, Id-ul-Fitr on March 31st, Mahavir Jayanti on April 10th, Good Friday on April 18th, Buddha Purnima on May 12th, Bakrid on June 07th, Muharram on July 06th, Janmashtami on August 16th, Milad-un-Nabi on September 05th, Dussehra on October 02nd, Diwali on October 20th, Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 05th, and Christmas Day on December 25th.
