In Delhi, all central and state government offices are generally closed on all public holidays. Government of Delhi has published the list of holidays for the year 2024. The list contains a total of 18 holidays including national and regional holidays. Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti and Christmas Day are some of the major holidays. In addition, there are many regional holidays such as Holi, Ram Navami and Dussehra and all 2nd and 4th Saturdays would also be observed as Holidays. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to declare the holidays specified in the schedule below, to be Public Holidays in the National Capital Territory of Delhi during the year 2024 (Saka Era 1945-46):-
