Freedom Fighters Home Room Charges and Dining Charges: No room charges (and no meal charges) for the first 15 days. OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject:: Amendments in the guidelines regarding Freedom Fighters’ Home.
This is in continuation of the earlier guidelines dated 9.10.2014 regarding admission to the Freedom Fighters’ Home, located at Baba Kharak Singh Marg, New Delhi consisting of six type III flats bearing number 671, 672, 686, 687, 690 and 691. It has been decided, with the approval of the Competent Authority, that henceforth admission to the Freedom Fighters’ Home shall be made on such conditions and on such payment as mentioned below:-
(a) Eligibility:-
(i) All freedom fighters receiving Central Samman Pension along with only one escort.
(ii) All spouses receiving Central Samman Pension along with only one escort.
(iii) All the daughters receiving Central Samman Pension.
(iv) All invitees of the FFR Division who come to Delhi in connection with official work.
(b) Duration of Stay:-
(i) There shall be no permanent or long stay by any freedom fighter pensioner.
(ii) The freedom fighters themselves can stay for a maximum of 15 days at a stretch. If on a medical treatment related visit, the maximum stay can be allowed up to 30 days. After which they shall be charged at a higher rate.
(iii) The spouses and daughters, who are drawing Central Samman Pension, can stay up to one week, after which they may be charged penal rent. The rates are shown in the tabular form in para(C).
(iv) Other invitees of the FFR Division coming in connection with the official work may stay up to a period of 5 days maximum.
(v) The freedom fighters will be requested to deposit an advance amount of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) at the time of checking-in in the Freedom Fighters’ Home which will be used to adjust the expenditure incurred in overstay, or providing meal to the guest of the freedom fighter etc., if any. The unadjusted/remaining amount will be paid back to the freedom fighter at the time of checking out. Receipts of such payments will be invariably given to the freedom fighter by New Delhi Palika Parishad Samaj Kalyan Samiti (NDPPSKS).
Room Charges and Dining Charges:-
(i) Freedom fighters themselves- No room charges (and no meal charges) for the first 15 days. After 15 days they shall be charged Rs. 50/- per meal and a room rent of Rs. 100/- per day. If they overstay beyond 30 days, they shall be charged Rs. 1000/- per day and no meals, shall be served.
(ii) The spouse pensioners and daughter pensioners (in receipt of Central freedom fighter pension). They shall be charged 50/- per meal and 100 per day room rent for 7 days, beyond which they shall be charged a room rent of Rs. 2000/- per day and no meals shall be served.
(iii) Other invitees – They shall be charged meal @ Rs. 50/- per meal, and Rs.200/- per day as room rent for 5 days after which they will be evicted.

(d) Mode of Payment:
Payment is to be made in cash, or cheque drawn in favour of Member Secretary, NDPPSKS, New Delhi.
(e) Miscellaneous:-
(i) Preference:- The preference for allotment of rooms shall be Freedom Fighters, Spouses (Freedom Fighter Pensioner), Daughters (Freedom fighter pensioner) & others, in that order.
(ii) Freedom fighters or their dependents pensioners can stay in Freedom Fighters’ Home while in Delhi if they come for any work and not necessarily relating to medical treatment. They need not submit any request through State Government or any affidavit to get a booking in the Freedom Fighters’ Home.
(iii) If a freedom fighter pensioner fails to make payment which he is liable to pay on behalf of his or his guest’s stay/meals, he will be allowed to stay in the Home only when he clears the previous dues.
(iv) There is no requirement to submit any affidavit/medical papers for admission. Mere application along with a photocopy of PPO is enough to book a room. To ensure availability and allotment of room, the room booking should be done 10 days in advance or a written request may be sent to the address mentioned below :
