INDAIN PASSPORT OFFICE HOLIDAYS FOR THE YEAR 2024
Central Government has decided and published a detailed list of holidays for CG offices located in Delhi and throughout India for the year 2024. In order to provide priority for State-level local festivals and occasions, out of 17 gazetted (closed) holidays, 14 holidays only declared and another 3 holidays will be selected by the respective State level committee (CGEWCC). This decision was made to provide flexibility to different states and enable them to recognize and celebrate their local festivals.

2. In addition to the above 17 holidays, two restricted holidays can be availed of during the calendar year 2024 by India-based members of the Mission.
Passport Seva Kendra Timings and Working Hours
The timings of Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) are as follows:
- Working Days: Monday-Friday
- Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Token Issuance: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Lunch Hours: 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM
Passport Office Holiday on Saturday
The passport office will not function on weekends. The Passport office remains closed on Saturday and Sunday every month.
Q1. What are the various locations where I can submit my application for obtaining a passport?
Ans: You can submit Passport Application Form Online.
Q2. How can I apply for a passport online?
Ans: To apply online, you need to be a registered user. When you apply online, you also have an option to download an e-Form that you can fill offline and upload later on. For downloading the form you need not be a registered user, but for uploading the form you need to register yourself. To apply for a passport online, please click on “Home”. You can also upload the documents required for applying the passport. You should have the scanned copy of the documents.
Q3. What kinds of applications are handled at a Passport Office?
Ans: Following types of applications are processed at a Passport Office (PO):
- Special purpose passports for visiting regions/countries like Israel/Taiwan
- Diplomatic and Official Passports
- Processing of District Passport Cell applications and cases sent by respective Passport Seva Kendra
- Processing of complex cases escalated by Assistant Passport Officer at Passport Seva Kendra to Regional Passport Officer at Passport Office
Q4. I want to apply for a fresh passport. Can I apply for the passport at a Passport Office as it is near to my place?
Ans: No, you cannot apply for a passport at a Passport Office. You need to visit Passport Seva Kendra/ Post Office Passport Seva Kendra to submit your passport application.
