NFIR Wrote a Letter to Railway Chairman and CEO for Cancellation of Periodical Transfer
- The Railway Board has rightly deferred periodical transfers upto 31st March, 2021. Covid-19 positive cases are increasing day by day in more than eight States, You would kindly appreciate that containment of Covid-19 pandemic is the top priority subject of the Government, therefore transfer of Railway employees under periodical transfer policy needs to be avoided for some more time.

Sub: Cancellation of periodical transfer of staff on Zonal Railways etc.,- reg.
Ref: (i) Railway Board’s letter No. E(NG)I-2020/TR/2 dated 12/05/2020 & 7th August, 2020.
(ii) GS/NFIR’s letter No. 11/14/2021 dated 11/02/2021 to the CRB & CEO, Railway Board, New Delhi.
Kind attention of CRB is invited to NFIR’s letter of even number dated 11/02/2021 wherein request was made to defer periodical transfers of staff till 30th April, 2022, considering the surge in Corona Virus cases.
The Federation brings to your kind notice that the Covid-19 positive cases are increasing day by day in more than eight States and this situation is causing anxiety and agony among Railway population. Considering this situation in the past, the Railway Board has rightly deferred periodical transfers upto 31st March, 2021. You would kindly appreciate that containment of Covid-19 pandemic is the top priority subject of the Government, therefore transfer of Railway employees under periodical transfer policy needs to be avoided for some more time. The Railway Board is aware that the Railway employees have been performing duties with devotion amid Covid-19 pandemic situation and have never allowed the system to fail. It would therefore be proper to take measures for protecting the legitimate interests of Railway Staff.
NFIR, therefore once again requests the CRB to kindly see that periodical transfers of staff are deferred till April, 2022. A copy of NFIR’s letter dated 11/02/2021 is again enclosed.
