What is the periodicity of other AFD-I purchases like TV/ AC/ Fridge/ Mobiles/ Laptops/ Desktops/ Washing M/c & Two Wheelers etc?
Ans: As on date, it is once in four years from the date of last purchase. The periodicity is reviewed periodically by O/o DDGCS which shall be applicable from time to time.
Is there any minimum service requirement as in car for other AFD-I items?
Ans: “NO”, all category of canteen smartcard holders as stated below are entitled to purchase other AFD-I items irrespective of service period.
Who all are entitled for other AFD-I items (viz) Two Wheeler, Fridge, Washing Machine, T.V, AC, Mobiles, Laptops & Desktops etc.?
Ans: Following category of canteen smartcard holders are authorized for other AFD-I items:-
(a) Serving Armed Forces personnel.
(b) Retired Armed Forces personnel.
(c) Serving Defence Civilians only.
Why can’t I pay through Payment Gateway/ Online Payment when I have opted for a loan?
Ans: For loan cases, the loan amount have to be transferred to CSD HO Main Account through RTGS/NEFT by the bank only and balance amount to be made only through the payment gateway from the individual’s account.
Dealer Price is filled but still, the error is showing, “Billing dealer price is required filed. ”?
Ans: The “Dealer Price” has to be exactly the same as the “Net price to be Paid”.
Can I change the pre-filled details in checkout form?
Ans: No, as all these details are picked from the registration form that the user filled while registration. Please contact the helpdesk for further query.
Can I buy a second car from AFD within 5 years of buying the first car, if I transfer the first one to my family member’s name?
Ans: “NO”. The AFD-I item will be used for personal use only and will not be sold/ transferred before completion of four years from date of purchase for other AFD-I items ( for four wheelers — five years). The car cannot be transferred to anyone before completing 5 years of purchase. Next purchase shall be eligible only after completing Eight year time gap from the date of last purchase.
When can I buy the same category product again?
Ans: Any product of the same kind can be bought only once in the specified period. Kindly contact CS Directorate (afd.csdindia.gov.in) for more information.
Why do I get this alert, “You are not entitled to purchase the selected car”?
Ans: There are three entitlement categories(Officers, JCO, OR) and every category has a different allowance. If any user is getting the above said message then the user must choose a different product of lower value within their allowed limit.
What if I forget my login password?

Why can’t I login after registration? Or Why my login details are invalid after registration?
Ans: Users will be notified on registered email address after administrator’s approval. Login account will remain invalid till approval. For further info contact CS Dte @ afd.csdindia.gov.in.
Why do I get this alert, “Email already exists”?
Ans: There is an username that is already registered with the same email id.
Why do I get this alert, “User Name already exists”?
Ans: The username entered has already been registered. Please choose different username.
Why do I get this alert, “Chip Number already exists”?
Ans: There are high chances that you already have username registered with the same Chip Number. Please contact the helpdesk at 0120-4699923.
Why do I get this alert, “Grocery Card ID already exists”?
Ans: There are high chances that you already have username registered with the same Grocery Card ID. Please contact the helpdesk at 0120-4699923.

CSD Canteen Online Sales – How to Register?
Online Sales of CSD Canteen AFD Items Started Through Online Store!
Canteen Stores Department (CSD) introduces the online sale of AFD Items through its official Online Shopping Website Portal. The official website link is www.afd.csdindia.gov.in.
CSD Canteen started online sale of AFD (Against Firm Demand) Items such as Car, Bike, Scooter, AC, Refrigerator, Washing Machine, etc., to all Smart Card Holders.
According to the internal order of MoD (Army) dated 4 December 2020 regarding the online sale in CSD Canteen, the letter indicated that as part of the automation of CSD, to enhance the user experience and provide ease of transactions to CSD beneficiaries, a website has been developed for online documentation and payment by the beneficiaries.
CSD AFD Items Purchase Regarding FAQ
How Often Can I Buy A New Television / Refrigerator / Washing Machine / Air Conditioner Etc in CSD Canteen?
Ans: All CSD consumers can purchase these items once in a three years.
Can I Purchase All Models of AFD-I Items (TV, Refrigerator, AC Etc) through CSD Depots?
Ans: No, only the models listed in CSD are available through CSD.
Through CSD Can I Buy New Bike / Car / Television / Refrigerator Model Was Launched Recently?
Ans: Newly-launched products will not be immediately available through CSD. However, the new products will be available in CSD stores after a minimum period of three to four months.
I Am An Ex-Serviceman – Am I Eligible To Buy A 4 Wheeler Through CSD?
Ans: Yes, CSD welcomes the patronage of ex-servicemen under certain conditions.
What Are The Conditions For Purchasing A 4 Wheeler Through CSD?
Ans: The following conditions must be met for purchasing a 4 wheeler through CSD

All Military Personnel Entitled To Purchase 2 Wheelers?
Ans: Certainly, CSD offers 2 wheelers to every category of the Armed Forces. However, a 2 wheeler can only be purchased every three years.
Do I Need Any Special Sanctions In Order To Purchase A 2 Or 4 Wheeler?
Ans: If so, how do I obtain them? For the convenience of the CSD consumer, no sanction has been placed on the purchase of 2 wheelers. The centralised Car sanction by CS Dte has been discontinued w.e.f. 20 Jul 2015.
Why Does The Same Item Have Differing Costs In Different CSD Depots?
Ans: Unfortunately, CSD is unable to keep costs consistent throughout the country due to differing tax structures of different states.
Are Tax Benefits Available To CSD Customers In All States?
Ans: Unfortunately, tax benefits are not available in all states. Some states have granted full exemption while others have given certain concessions.
Which States Offer Full Tax Exemption On VAT?
Ans: The states of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh have granted full tax exemption to CSD while the Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh etc have granted certain tax concessions.
