Aadhaar Card Update Through Post Office | Aadhaar Enrolment cum Updation Centres
Mainly two (2) types of services are provided in Post Office Aadhaar Centres
Aadhaar Enrolment:-The Enrolment process involves electronic capture of demographic and biometric information of the residents. The Aadhaar Enrolments are done free of cost in Post Offices
Aadhaar Updation:- (i) Demographic Updation such as Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, Address, Date of Birth etc. (ii) Biometric Updations, facial image, 10 finger prints and Iris are updated through post offices.
Aadhaar Updations are chargeable and a sum of Rs. 50/- (including 18% GST) is collected from the citizens for every Aadhaar Updation.

Q.1. Are the service charges different for Aadhaar Seva Kendras?
Ans: No, the charges for Aadhaar Services are the same across all Aadhaar Seva Kendras in the country.
1. Aadhaar Enrolment – FREE
2. Mandatory Biometric Update – FREE
3. Demographic Update (Any type) – Rs. 50/- (Inclusive of GST)
4. Biometric Update – Rs. 100/- (Inclusive of GST)
5. Aadhaar download and colour print-out on A4 sheet – Rs.30/- per Aadhaar (Inclusive of GST) Residents may note that there are no extra charges for the Aadhaar Enrolment/ Correction/ Update Form. Update of more than one field on a single instance is considered as one update. These charges are inclusive of any applicable taxes. The residents can make online payment at the time of booking an online appointment from the UIDAI website or at the ‘Cash Counter’ available at the ASK.
Q.2. Can I reschedule/ cancel my appointment?
Ans: Yes, you can reschedule the appointment by logging into the appointment portal with the same mobile number/ email ID (as given earlier).
Q.3. Can I update my Aadhaar at Aadhaar Seva Kendra?
Ans. Yes, Residents can visit any convenient Aadhaar Seva Kendras for the following services:
1. Aadhaar Enrolment
2. Update of any demographic Information in their Aadhaar (Name, Address, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile number and Email Id)
3. Update of biometric data in their Aadhaar (Photo, Fingerprints and Iris Scans)
4. Mandatory Biometric Update of children (attaining the age of 5 and 15 years)
5. Download & Print Aadhaar These services are available for any resident of India and NRIs at any Aadhaar Seva Kendra across the country.
Q.4. What are the timings of UIDAI ASKs (Aadhaar Seva Kendras)?
Ans. Aadhaar Seva Kendras are open all 7 days of the week excluding holidays from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (IST). Aadhaar Centres other than UIDAI ASKs follow timings as defined by their respective registrars. Residents may contact their nearby Aadhaar Centre for more information.
Q.5. What is Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK)?
Ans. ‘Aadhaar Seva Kendra’ or ASK is a single-stop destination for all Aadhaar services for the residents. ASK offer dedicated Aadhaar enrolment and update services to residents in a state-of-the-art environment. The Aadhaar Seva Kendra offers a comfortable air-conditioned environment to residents. Q.6. Where can I find the list of UIDAI ASKs (Aadhaar Seva Kendras)?
Ans. A consolidated list of all functional ASKs is available at: List of Aadhaar Seva Kendra. These ASKs are available in addition to Aadhaar Enrolment Centres already run by Banks, Post Offices, CSC, BSNL and State Governments.
