Holiday List of Rajasthan Govt 2024
In Rajasthan, all central and state government offices are generally closed on all public holidays. Government of Rajasthan has published the list of holidays for the year 2024. The list contains a total of 32 holidays including national and regional holidays. Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti and Christmas Day are some of the major holidays. In addition, there are many regional holidays such as Holi, Ram Navami and Dussehra and all second Saturdays would also be observed as Holidays. Note:
- In the year 2024, all Saturdays and Sundays will be general public holidays.
- Public holidays for bank employees under the sections of the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881 are published separately by the Finance (Leaves) Department.
- On the occasion of local festivals etc., the concerned District Collector in each district and the Office of the Resident Commissioner in the Government Office in Delhi, New Delhi will declare two local holidays. If any gazetted holiday is subsequently declared by the State Government on these dates, it will still remain subject to change. The concerned District Collector will immediately send a copy of the order declaring a local holiday to this department.
- In Kota district, the day coming after Janmashtami will automatically be considered as a holiday instead of Janmashtami.
- Every employee is allowed to choose any two holidays from the list of optional holidays and enjoy them.
- Muslim holidays will depend on the sighting of the moon.
- This order will be applicable only to government offices.
These holidays are observed in central and state government offices, banks, post offices, railway departments, schools and colleges in Rajasthan.
