Ladakh Government Holidays 2023
Ladakh is generally closed on all public holidays in all central and state government offices. There are totally 16 public holidays in Ladakh and has some special holidays. Ladakh UT Government has announced the 2023 Holiday List for its Union Territory Government Administrative Offices, Educational Institutions and Banks.

- *Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi – 28th September 2023 – Thursday
According to the Holiday Notification of the Ladakh Government, The above holiday has been declared as Public Holiday for Central and State Govt offices in Ladakh during the month of September 2023.

The holidays listed in Annexure “A” & “B” to this order shall be observed in the Government offices, educational institutions of the Union territory of Ladakh, during the calendar year 2023.
In addition to the list of public holidays at Annexure “A” each employee will be allowed to avail any two holidays to be chosen by him/her out of the list of restricted holidays at Annexure “C”.
In respect of Banks, the holidays shall be regulated in terms of the extant instructions issued under Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 at Annexure “D”.
