Will the Minister of Education be pleased to state:-

(a) Whether the Government has received any proposal to establish a Kendriya Vidyalaya in district Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh;
(b) If so, the details thereof;
(c) Whether the Government is likely to accord sanction to establish a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Maharajganj; and
(d) If so, the time by which the approval is expected to be granted?

ANSWER
MINISTER OF EDUCATION (SHRI RAMESH POKHRIYAL ‘NISHANK’)

(a) & (b) : A proposal for opening of a new Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) at Maharajganj in Uttar Pradesh has been received from the State Government of Uttar Pradesh offering 6.5 Acre land at Village Dhneva-Dhanei for construction of the permanent building and 15 rooms in Government Girls Inter College, Maharajganj as temporary accommodation to run the KV.

(c ) & (d) : The proposal has been found to be fulfilling the pre-requisites as per norms of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) for opening of new KVs. Proposals fulfilling the norms of KVS also have to compete among other such proposals under the “Challenge Method”, before seeking the approval of the Competent Authority. As such no specific time frame can be given in this regard.
