4% DA Hike Announcement For Central Govt Employees July 2023
Expected DA from July 2023
The revised rate of DA and DR due from July 2023 will be issued by the Ministry of Finance by October 2023. Central Government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners can expect a boost in their income starting from 1st July 2023, as the Union Cabinet Committee is set to approve 4% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR). This increase will bring the DA and DR rate to 46%, and it will be applicable to all Central Government employees, pensioners, and their family members.
Central Government employees will receive 46% Dearness Allowance on their basic salary from 1st July 2023. The arrears for the three months (July, August, September) of the DA hike will be paid out to existing CG employees by October 2023. The Dearness Allowance or Dearness Relief will be calculated using the basic pay or basic pension for existing and retired employees, respectively. The DA for central government employees and pensioners is estimated to increase by 4% to 46% from the existing rate of 42%.
There is a need for six months of CPI (IW) statistical data for 2016=100 from January to June 2023 to calculate the additional DA with effect from 1st July 2023. The calculation for the 6 months has already been completed. So, all the central government employees and Pensioners are eagerly waiting for the DA Order July 2023…
