Revised Rates of Dearness Allowance to Central Government Employees w.e.f. 01-07-2021 – Finmin Order Dated 20 July 2021
- Dearness Allowance Increased to 28% for Central Government Employees from 1st July 2021
- Revision of HRA Rate 27%, 18% and 9% of Basic Pay in X,Y and Z cities
The Expected of DA from July 2021 is very important for all Central government employees and pensioners including Railways and Armed Forces Personnel.
All Government employees and pensioners in India are getting 17% of DA and DR of their basic salary or basic pension from 1.1.2020 till 30.6.2021.
As per the Department of Expenditure under the Finance Ministry order (No.1/1/2020-E.II(B) Dated 23rd April 2020), However, the order said the rates of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief as effective from 1st January 2020, 1st July 2020 and 1st January 2021 will be restored prospectively and will be subsumed in the cumulative revised rate effective from 1st July 2021.
DA from 1st July 2021: 17% + 11% = 28%
Dearness Allowance (DA) from 1st July 2021 for Central Government Employees and Pensioners
the Government has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to pensioners with effect from 01.07.2021 to 28% representing an increase of 11% over the existing rate of 17% of the Basic Pay/Pension. The increase reflects the additional instalments arising on 01.01.2020, 01.07.2020 and 01.01.2021. The rate of Dearness Allowance/Dearness Relief for the period 01.01.2020 to 30.06.2021 shall remain at 17%.
The Central Government has decided to increase the rate of Dearness Allowance from 17% to 28% from 1st July 2021. When DA reaches 25% level, the DA indexed allowances like HRA will also to be increased to 27%,18% and 9% w.e.f July 2021 as per the Allowance Committee recommendation.
